Interbike and a Major Award

Hello All,

We just returned from Interbike bike in it's new location, Reno, Nevada. We had a great time and the Stompump was very well received by the bicycle industry! 

We were very fortunate to receive an Interbike Innovation award for the Stompump. So, we're riding a bit of a high ;) We would like to share this award with all of our backers as this wouldn't have been possible without your support! Thank you so much.

We would also like to let you know that we're fully committed to our Kickstarter backers and we will be fulfilling our Kickstarter rewards to all of you FIRST! Attending the trade show and getting Stompump out there is all part of our ultimate goal. All of you and Kickstarter have been instrumental in getting to this point.

A note on timing. As we've mentioned before, our goal of a summer time delivery came an went. We're very sorry about this, but we feel it is more important to deliver a high-quality product than to deliver a sub-standard product sooner. With that we expect another few weeks before we have Stompumps in hand and ready to fulfill. Rest assured, we will deliver soooon!

Nearing the End and Interbike Prep

Hello All,

I know you're all getting anxious to get your Stompumps as our projected delivery date has come and gone. We're very close, so don't give up now ;)

We're currently preparing for Interbike in Reno, NV. We're excited to show some real working production samples of the Stompump. As we have a full suite of all the samples from our vendors we are gearing up to wage full scale production/assembly/shipping! 

In our last update we said Stompumps would be ready in 4 weeks. Due to some changes that are required to a couple of the assembly parts we'll push that time by 2-3 weeks more. That said we expect to be shipping to backers by mid October, perhaps sooner!

Stay with us, we'll make sure you get your Stompump!

Getting Closer!

Hello All,

We received our First Article samples this week and they look great! Our contract manufacturer still needs to add the final texture to the molds, but all the critical dimensions on the parts look great! We're very excited to be at this stage. We'll keep you updated on delivery timing but at this point we're probably about 4 weeks away!

We sent out some Survey reminders for the few that have yet to complete them but otherwise we're just waiting on completed Stompumps to begin delivery.

 This is going to be fun. Thanks again to all of our backers for the help and faith!

Bits and Pieces(plastic)

Hello all,

Everything is going smoothly here and we're pretty 'pumped' as we'll be seeing the First Articles of the injection molded plastic parts here within the week. This is great news as these are some of the most critical parts that are outsourced... We can do a lot of things here in our shop, but molding plastic parts on a mass scale is not one of them. Having these parts in hand is a big step toward delivering the Stompump to all of you, our faithful backers!

Until then, if you haven't completed your survey(you know who you are ;), please do so we can make sure to get your Stompump to you as soon as they are ready!

Stompump Update, Molding and Machining!

Hello All,

Well, we have been working hard on the Stompump, so not too many updates, apologies ;)

First, our surveys are set to go out this week. As mentioned in a previous update, we're using Backerkit so the process will be smooth and easy for all of our awesome backers!

Second, here's some eye candy showing some work in our shop and some images of the tooling design for the Stompump's injection molded plastic parts. If you're into manufacturing like we are hopefully you'll get a kick out of these shots.

Some have asked about shipping dates. We're hustling to make sure we stay within our delivery timeframe. If you know something about injection molding you know that the tooling and sampling process can be lengthy. Internally and with our contract manufacturers we have a plan in place to meet our end of summer/early fall deadline. Of course, we'll stay in touch with everyone regarding any changes or delays, but hopefully things stay as they are and you'll be hearing about firm ship dates! in the coming months.
