Hello All,

As you likely know, we completed shipping all Stompump rewards last year! Happy 2019 to all of you! And of course, I can't do an update without saying thank you for the support!

I know that many of you have received your rewards and some of you haven't yet, and some of you have questions or issues with your delivery. We're here to help and will do everything we can to make sure you get your Stompump!

We've seen the comments about people missing accessories as well as questions about customs, etc. Thanks for commenting, but it's tough for us to track your issues from the comments section, so please email us directly. If you would, please email me directly, [email protected] and I will get see to your questions personally.

Also, you should have received an email when your order shipped with tracking. Of course it could have gone to spam or simply overlooked. Don't hesitate to email me if you need your tracking number. USPS is a great service, but they are not perfect(no one is ;). We've anticipated some issues and we're not surprised by the handful of glitches so far. Some created by us and some by the Postal service. We're committed to making sure all orders arrive as they should, so just let us know what's going on and we'll do our part to get you your reward!

One last note, we've been getting some great feedback and photos from users. So awesome. Keep it coming!

All Stompumps Have Left the Building!

Hello all,

We are very pleased to report that all* Stompump rewards have left the building!
(*rewards with completed surveys have shipped. If you've not completed your survey we didn't ship your order.)

This is very exciting for us as it represents a significant milestone for Stomp Cycles. We now have hundreds of Stompumps in the field and we are eager to know how well they work in new environments and applications. We're very confident in the Stompumps capabilities, as we personally tested each one. That said, one could encounter an issue. Whether that be confusion on how it works or simply a mechanical issue brought on by an unforeseen circumstance. Either way, we want to hear your feedback. We are open and ready for all critical thoughts! We also want the opportunity to 'make it right'.

Production Completed and Shipping has Started!

First off, thank you all for your patience!
We've gone a few months past our initial promise to deliver, but we feel this is so worth it and we're so grateful for everyone's patience. To say nothing of the trust and support initially.

We're very proud to announce that we've completed our production and have started shipping today! We intend to have all orders out by Monday.

The main reason we've had the extended delay in delivery is we've wanted to make sure that the Stompump is perfect. In line with that, each Stompump has been tested by Woody or Reason personally on our custom built Stompump test machine! We've done this to ensure that each pump is functioning as it should and each and every Backer has what is a great product. Below you can see Reason running a pump through its paces.

This process has taken a while but we hope you believe it's been worth the wait!

So, without further ado, we're going to get to packing and shipping!

If for any reason you have a problem with your Stompump, please let us know. We've personally tested each Stompump that leaves our doors if there is a problem we want to hear about it and make sure it's right!

Not there yet but Oh So Close!

Hello Stompump Backers,

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, we are very close to delivering Stompumps. We don't have a concrete date set, but we are confident we'll begin shipping this year, and if all goes well, before Christmas!

Production of all components have been approved and are in process, the only thing left will be final assembly. 

To be frank, there have been several parts that have been troublesome to get right in the production process, and it's taken us this long to get them right. This is a nuanced process, and many people would see them as "good enough" to ship. That is not the way we want to create products. We feel the time spent making sure each component of the Stompump is excellent will give all of us a better product and better success, and ultimately happier Backers/customers. This has been frustrating to us as we want more than anything to get all of your Stompumps in the mail! In the end, we've done the tough thing, to make sure the Stompump is the greatest product we can deliver!

The good news is that this will be the best Stompump we could make, and we know you're going to receive an incredible product.

Along with making sure the individual assembly parts are perfect we've been taking this time to do further prototyping and long-term testing. Some of the standards we've created involve use-cases that most of us will never encounter, but should you need to pump up a tire for several hours straight in dirty freezing conditions, you should be ok ;)

The '8-Up' tester. Design based on a radial engine's movement. This enables us to test 8 pumps at once!

Another positive here is we've created equipment and processes to ensure that each pump is QC'd and tested before it leaves here, so we're know all pumps will work perfectly!

Cycle Testing of the Stompump

Hello all,

Things are moving right along here, and we're still looking at November for beginning Stompump shipments. We would like to discuss our delays and what we're doing with the Stompump that has taken us past our projected delivery date. 

The first thing we would like to make clear is that we absolutely will be delivering Stompumps to all of our backers. There is no question about that. Second, our main goal is to have a great product. We're willing to sacrifice some time in order to do this. We recognize that some may be disappointed or even upset with us. For this we're sorry, but we must push ahead with refining the Stompump.

The reason for the delay is that we're doing detailed testing with the production parts, not just the prototypes. We want to make sure that the production parts behave in the same way that our prototypes did. We've actually run into some 'gotchas' in the testing of the production parts that were not apparent during testing of the prototypes. Basically, we want to make sure that the product we're delivering can stand up to the abuse in reality, not just in theory!

Considering the above, we've had to make some tooling changes as well as some geometry changes to reflect our findings.

All this means is that you'll get a better Stompump, and that is what is important to us!

We now have production parts that have exceeded 50,000 cycles without failure! Now, with just a little more time we'll be headed to production in earnest!
